This is a special time for families to gather as parents dedicate their child to the Lord. One of our pastors will pray over your child and present you with a certificate of dedication and a special gift for the baby. Love Out Loud exists to bring the Winston-Salem community together to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the city. Come celebrate the Christmas season with LOL on Thursday, December 20 from 4-9pm for a huge Christmas Party downtown at the Benton Convention Center. There will be music, fun activities for the kids, and so much more. And, most importantly, join us in loving God and loving people.
We are excited to be hosting Watoto Children’s Choir yet again! This organization has traveled extensively since 1994, sharing a message of hope for Africa’s most vulnerable children and women. On almost every day of the year, the choir is performing somewhere in the world. Join us Sunday, December 16 during both of our services as these awesome kids lead us in the message of hope in Jesus!
The Christmas For the City Gift Mart provides an opportunity for parents to purchase, in a store-type setting, new and like new toys and gifts for their children (including tween and teens) at greatly reduced prices. Families who shop at the Gift Mart are referred to us through the non-profits with whom we partner.
WSF volunteers are encouraged to help with the Angel Tree Christmas Party. We will meet at the church at 9am and get everything set up for our party at 10am and then finish right at noon. Volunteer Packing – November 17th
Join us at the Thanksgiving Outreach packing party Saturday, November 17 from 10am-1pm in the Room 100. We will prepare 250 Thanksgiving boxes for Sunday delivery!
WSF families are encouraged to bring a single-size blanket to the West Foyer any Sunday the month of November. These blankets will be collected by the Cover the City Project to be distributed to the under-resourced and homeless of our community. WS Rescue Mission, Next Step Ministries, City with Dwellings, and the Winston-Salem Police Department will give the blankets out to those in need. We will collect every Sunday in November.

Volunteers are asked to decorate their car trunk with a game and have candy so we can provide a safe place for the Brownsboro children during Halloween. Please meet at the church at 5pm to travel to Brownsboro. Volunteers will also help in serving a meal to our Brownsboro friends.
The Legacy group will be traveling to Catawba, VA to view the fall foliage. Please make sure you have signed up with Glenna Rakes for a spot on the bus. We will eat lunch at the Home Place Restaurant in Catawba, VA and visit the Ideal Cabinet Shop. Everyone is welcome!

We are honored to be hosting Mandisa's Girl Night Live here at WSF on Sunday, October 7. This is an extraordinary evening aimed at strengthening female community. Envisioned to be a night of women encouraging women about matters that affect women, "Girls Night Live Tour" will include music, humor, worship, and prayer. Noted for her vulnerability, the night will end with Mandisa and her friends joining the audience for a personal, encouraging "Girl Chat" and time of ministry.
The Legacy Group will be headed to Kernersville for "A NIght of Talent" sponsored by The Shepherd's Center. The event will be at Main Street United Methodist Church on Main Street-Kernersville. Buses will leave the church at 5PM. Dinner will be at the Olympia Greek Restaurant in Kernersville before the show.
Parents! Enjoy a night out to be refreshed while your children (5 years - 5th Grade) are enriched through creative arts. We will offer different creative outlets that your child can sign up for upon registration. From singing or dancing to photography, art, cake decorating, woodworking, and more, we will have something for your child to be a part of each month. We will end the night with a movie and popcorn. Childcare will be available for children 4 years and under. Cost: $5 per child. Registration will close at midnight of the Wednesday prior to the event.
